I Never Stopped Loving You - Tracey Emin - Droit House
Tracey Emin’s neon art work 'I Never Stopped Loving You', a neon text for the facade of Droit House, one of the most distinctive buildings on Margate seafront. The piece has been commissioned by Turner Contemporary and will remain in situ from 1st of May onwards and also marks the countdown to the opening of the new gallery building in 2011.
This is Tracey Emin's latest work as a love letter to the seaside town where she spent her childhood and teenage years.
Emin said she came up with the idea for the neon artwork for Margate quite a few years ago, but it was at first refused by the council.
"I was very hurt as I felt that my neon was a show of love and affection for the place in which I grew up."
