'In transit' - ArtLyst Event

'In transit' - Waitrose Mall

Bookmark and Share

“In Transit” is a group exhibition of interactive kinetic installations which will fill the mall next to the Waitrose supermarket. The artists are Hinchee Hung, Nigel Goldie and Andy Charalambous

The work is inspired by the abundant quantities of transit packaging available from the supermarket. Quirky structures with simple mechanisms are reliant on the movement of air, vibrations from sound and human intervention. They suggest alternatives to reliance on electricity and fossil fuels. The artists exploit plastic and cardboard transit packaging for its aesthetic, structural and architectural properties.

This exhibition is part of Islington Exhibits and the London Festival of Architecture.
