LIGHT FORM - Arch Gallery
This exhibition is the third joint event to be held by local reductive artists Patrick Morrissey and Hanz Hancock who work from studios in Greenwich nearby. Following the successful and well acclaimed 'Monochrome Set' in which the artists showcased their working genre, the 'Light Form' event continues the exploration by these artists into the European/international predilection for formal abstraction and/or reductive working approach to making art. Currently this type of work receives little attention in the contemporary British art scene, but is very well stablished abroad. There will be another exhibition in November this year curated by the artists which will present the work of fourteen internationally acclaimed practitioners in this field, whose work will demonstrate the subtleties and sheer visual elegance and intellectual vigour of this working method
