Memoria Technica - The Nunnery
Memoria Technica: an exhibition of Wimbledon School of Art’s MA students in collaboration withThe Nunnery Gallery and Bow Arts Trust.
This exhibition showcases the work of graduates at the interim stage of their postgraduate degree. Artists from the Wimbledon School of Art MA will display work crossing the boundaries of painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, film, sound, sculpture and installation.
The exhibition is a collaborative project between an outside curator and the postgraduate students which will pose a unique set of questions about the nature of collaboration and the collective voice of independent artists working towards a common goal.
Christina Millare (curator) is Programme Coordinator at Cornerhouse, Manchester. She is a second year student on the work-based Curating Contemporary Art Masters at Royal College of Art. Christina was also Curator of the charity funded, Together Our Space Gallery in London which ran in tandem with the mental health charity. She was also founder of the Video Is The Only Constant event at Corsica Studios, London in February 2010.
*This exhibition is the first part of the Wimbledon School of Art’s MA Show. Week 2 titled 'Wunderkammer' which will be held The Nunnery Gallery from 8th March*
