Pavilion of Art & Design London 2009 - Pavilion Berkeley Square
Design Art London fair has been renamed the Pavilion of Arts & Design London, and will feature a stronger decorative art element.
Organisers Patrick Perrin and Stéphane Custot have developed the concept to mirror their Paris event Pavillon des Arts et du Design Paris, now in its 13th year.LONDON— The Pavilion of Art & Design, a new show in this city’s Berkeley Square that’s timed to coincide with Frieze Art Fair, is gaining momentum as it signs up international dealers before its October run, with 13 lined up so far.Organized by the Paris-based Société d’Organisation Culturelle, the show has commitments from Van de Weghe of New York and Galerie Vedovi of Brussels, both specialists in classic contemporary works
The London fair, to be held in Berkeley Square, Mayfair, from 14-18 October, will feature London galleries Adrian Sassoon, Carpenters Workshop and Rove Gallery, among others. A spokeswoman for the event said some 25 of the 32 galleries which exhibited last year would return, and new galleries were being brought on board.
