Peroni Blue Ribbon Design Awards - ICA
Peroni Nastro Azzurro take over the ICA's Nash and Brandon rooms to launch the first ever Peroni Blue Ribbon Design Awards with an exhibition of the winner and finalists from 30 September - 4 October.
Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Alessi, have collaborated to launch the first ever Peroni Blue Ribbon Design Awards. The awards were created to offer individuals the chance to design pieces for the authentically Italian occasion of Aperitivo.
After thousands of entrants from across the world submitted designs, 95 finalists have been selected by a panel of judges including Alberto Alessi and Ekow Eshun, artistic director of the ICA to go on display at this exclusive exhibition and the winner will be announced on the 29 September. The exhibition will showcase both the winning design and the finalist's works - an insight into the future of home design, with pieces ranging from tableware, small furniture, to glassware and gadgets.
Alberto Alessi, responsible for Marketing Strategies and Design Management at Alessi HQ, commented, "I am glad to collaborate with Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Designboom on the Peroni Blue Ribbon Design Awards, as Aperitivo is an important part of Italian culture and a focus area for Alessi. I am excited to see how the designers have interpreted the ritual of Aperitivo and embrace the Italian approach to design."
