Rational Voices, Irrational Deeds - The Silk Mill

Bookmark and Share

Fine artist Teresa Wells creates an Installation combining Sculpture and Drawing. The exhibition examines a contemporary account of morality, immorality, frailty, and strength.

Her sculptures play on materials qualities, creatively using their properties as symbolic representations of her thoughts. The wooden constructions interplay with delicate threads, layered fabric and steel bolts to convey human beings strength and their fragile existence.

Her subtle use of text illustrates her intrigue with human stories and their intricate nature. In this exhibition Teresa Wells looks at the contradictions that exist between the rules human beings set and the ways in which we break them.
