'Spectacle' - Forman's Smokehouse Gallery
Feast on the sensual and sublime world of eight unique contemporary artists. ‘Spectacle’ is an exhibition that bares all, and will seduce and challenge in equal measure.
Archetypes including the Pin-up, the Pope and the Goddess sit alongside minute flowers and super-sized cigarette lighters. With theatrical subversion this exhibition questions our relationship to objects of desire and the violence of looking.
The eight artists are Mercedes Baliarda, Rosie Emerson, Nick Fox, Michael Jones, Kirstie Macleod, Casey McKee, Andrea Stokes and Wen Wu.
Private view: 3rd June 6-9pm, All are welcome to enjoy the work, drinks, smoked salmon and chocolate brownies.
