The Market Estate
The project is organized by Tall Tales in association with the Southern Housing Group who invited more than 50 artists, architects and designers to join and take over a soon to be demolished 1960s housing estate and to transform more than 100 empty flats, public spaces and facades into a creative playground.
As part of The Market Estate Project, Victoria Playford is going to present, 'Abattoir', a site-specific installation within the communal spaces of The Market Estate, North London.
The Market Estate Project culminates on the 6th March 2010, in a one-day event, inviting the public to explore the site and the works - just before the bulldozers move in.
