Recent paintings by Richard Colson and Rod Pearce of Venice and London. This is their second two person show at the Russell Gallery.
Water is a key theme of the exhibition with the Thames so central to the character of London and the canals the real life line of Venice.
Weather conditions, time of day and the changing seasons underscore the provisional nature of perception and the need for constant revision. Each artist has a very individual sensibility and part of the unique quality of this show, is that it provides a chance to compare their contrasting approaches.
