Imogen Reid is a contemporary british painter, working mainly in oil on her hand-made wood panel. Building on a strong realist tradition her narrative pieces engage with individuals' personal memories, raising questions about social conditioning, heritage, and identity. Plein air landscape work is now the majoer part of her practice, drawing on the influences of the northern european landscape tradition, and North American Realism.
Since graduating from Central Saint Martins (Byam Shaw) with a post-graduate diploma in Fine Art in 2010 she has exhibited at the Bankside Gallery, in Hamburg, at the Royal West of England Academy, and The ING Discerning Eye. She lives and works in Bristol.
