A List Art Helps Leonardo DiCaprio Raise $45m For Eco Causes

The third Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation St.Tropez Gala has raised over $45m for eco causes. The foundation is dedicated to the long-term health and wellbeing of all Earth’s inhabitants. Through collaborative partnerships. They support innovative projects that protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction, while restoring balance to threatened ecosystems and communities. LDF works in 4 key areas: PROTECTING BIODIVERSITY, OCEANS CONSERVATION, WILDLANDS CONSERVATION and CLIMATE CHANGE.

Work auctioned included Picasso, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Marc Quinn, James Turrell, Urs Fischer and George Condo. Other lots included Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Conan the Barbarian sword, lunch with Mariah Carey, a seven-night stay at DiCaprio’s Palm Springs property, and a date to the U.S. Open men’s final with Leo himself wow how interesting! Plus Harvey Weinstein’s party circuit’s plus-one.

A-listers on the guest list included Cate Blanchett, Reese Witherspoon, George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, Jonah Hill, Tobey Maguire, Edward Norton,  Bono and Steven Spielberg.
