The François Schneider Foundation announces the 40 FINALISTS of the second “CONTEMPORARY TALENTS” international competition.
Every year, the Foundation organises the Contemporary Talents competition to discover and buy seven works of artists who use visual and fine arts as their form of expression. The 40 FINALISTS have been shortlisted among 3176 artists from 104 countries and the five continents.
On 16 May, the date of the inauguration of the contemporary art centre, the 7 winners will be announced. As at the previous event, the prize money distributed between the seven artists will be € 300,000.
Finalists come from FRANCE, from UNITED KINGDOM (Jessie Brennan), IRELAND (Ciaran O’ DOCHARTAIGH), GERMANY (Burkard BLÜMLEIN, Daniel LERGON, Cornelia HÖRMANN, Elmar VESTNER), ITALY (Luigi CIFALI, Pamela BREDA), CANADA (Maxime LECLAIR), USA (Siobhan FEEHAN, Amber HAWK SWANSON) and CHINA (Wai Man LEUNG).
