The Jack Goldhill Painting Prize is open to all amateur or professional artists aged 18+ who live or work in the UK, and welcomes artworks of any subject matter that use paint.
Entrants can submit up to three pieces of work to be judged by a panel of experts from across the art world. The first prize is £5,000, the second prize is £3,000 and the third prize is £1,000.
Winners of the Jack Goldhill Painting Prize will be required to donate their work to leading health and social care charity, Jewish Care, to be displayed in one of their care homes or centres for all to enjoy.
Registration for entrants opens Monday 12th September 2011 and closes Monday 14th November 2011
The painting prize is being held in memory of the late Jack Goldhill, businessman and philanthropist, in order to celebrate the links he had to the charity Jewish Care and to the art world. The prize money has been generously donated by the Goldhill Family Charitable Trust.
