Kinetica Art Fair - 2012Dear London Art Followers

If this January is to be taken as a quality indicator for the rest of 2012, then oh what a year we have to look forward to for art in the capital!

Top of this month's art chart, of course, was one of the most hotly anticipated exhibitions of the year - David Hockney's Bigger Picture at the Royal Academy, presenting us with his sumptuous paint-still-wet vistas, re-imagining the Yorkshire Wolds with all the colour of Hollywood. Coming in at second place, was surely the London Art Fair, which (excitingly, given that we were media partners this year), reported record attendance and bustling trade, so that, in the words of one gallery owner, 'it felt like pre-recessionary times'!

And, just as ArtLyst has so far been on hand to capture all the latest art goings on, you can rest assured that nothing will change over the next 11 months. As media partners of the exclusively-online VIP art fair (3-8 February), the excitingly energetic Kinetica Art Fair (9-12 February), and the wonderfully delicate Watercolour + Works on Paper Fair (2-5 February), we will keep you fully-up-to-date with all the latest art info, private views, and champagne spillages.

Best Regards
