Anthony White at Le Pavé d’Orsay, Paris

Le Pave D’Orsay  presents the work of Australian painter Anthony White in his first Parisian solo show.

Having gained a reputation for producing materially dynamic abstract paintings in Australia, White continues to produce innovative physical process based paintings from his Paris studio.

Le Pave D’Orsay presents a survey of the artist’s practice from the years 2008- 2014 including collages, paintings and two distinct strands of abstraction.

What if Anthony White’s work revealed our souls to us? His lively, colorful touch transports us to a world of emotions and sensuality. We devour the generous, voluptuous material with our eyes. Bursting from the canvas with almost volcanic energy, it nourishes us and makes us aware of the beauty of the world. From his painting emerges an unfathomable presence, which lives as if it were an experience, and transcends us.
