Iker Garcia Barrenetxea: Who took the cookie from the cookie jar?

“Who took the cookie from the cookie jar?” exhibition by Iker Garcia Barrenetxea presents illustrations themed on money, globalization, greedy businesses and the hierarchy of power in our modern society.

Garcia’s bold style using a thick marker pen on paper fills The Vyner Studio gallery space with portraits of made up characters by the artist such as “Mr. Profit” or ”Ms Globalization”.
In the same room another group called “Company” is formed by a peculiar selection of ambitious staff members that aim to be the ones that take the cookie from the cookie jar, as heard on the classic song for kids.

Less defined drawings of darks silhouettes are put together in very busy compositions representing the Market that feeds “Ms Globalization” and “Mr Profit”. An act of cannibalism?
Taking that everything on this exhibition is metaphorical, yes!

This will be the only chance to see this exhibition. Don’t miss it!!
The illustrations will be for sale.

Please note that the address on the map is not accurate. We are right at the begining of Vyner Street by Ombra entrance close to Mare Street. The gallery space is on the 1st floor.
