Lumiere London 2018

Lumiere London 2018

Bigger, brighter and bolder, the Lumiere London light festival returns for a spectacular second edition. More than 40 UK and international artists reimagine London’s iconic architecture and streets, transforming the city into a dazzling nocturnal art exhibition. Free to visit and taking place north and south of the river Thames, the UK’s largest light festival extends its reach across the capital. Everyone is invited!
Lumiere covers six areas: King’s Cross, Fitzrovia, London’s West End (including Carnaby, Leicester Square, Oxford Circus Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, St James’s and St James’s Market), Mayfair, Westminster & Victoria, and South Bank & Waterloo.

Projections include:

Camille Gross and Leslie Epsztein’s clock on Hotel Cafe Royal

French digital artist Patrice Warrener’s magnificent The Light of the Spirit, at Westminster Abbey,

Northern Lights, Aleksandra Stratimirovic’s dynamic light-art piece inspired by the enthralling experience of the aurora borealis, as it transforms the familiar landscape of Grosvenor Square into something more unusual.

Granary Square is turned into an ethereal dream-like landscape as Daan Roosegaarde’s Waterlicht explores our changing relationship with water, the risk of global warming and rising sea levels.
