ESTATE OF CHANGE
By Natasha Reid
An intimate photographic portrait of a transitional stage in urban regeneration.
PRIVATE VIEW: Wednesday 27th November, 6-8pm
Estate of Change captures a moment in the “decanting” of two tower blocks due for demolition in the South Kilburn Estate, London.
The series of photographs journey through the urban landscape of the estate to discover the inpenetrable metal doors and locks which seal away vacated flats and the memories and histories held within.
The project was developed during a residency in South Kilburn and is being exhibited in Wembley, another area of Brent undergoing rapid regeneration.
