A solo exhibition of new works by Pip Dickens. In this exhibition she fuses aspects common to Japanese kimono and celluloid film. Cuts, seams, intense colour and luminosity, masking, over-printing and double exposure. The paintings are an homage to lost art forms within both genres and acknowledges an announcement by Hollywood in May 2013, that at then end of 2013, most films will go digital, Celluoid/photochemical film will soon be the preserve of those directors who can afford to champion and exploit their innate qualities.
