Sally Buchanan. Down to Earth

A series of installations where continuous loops of coloured thread weave through the building’s stairwells in playful dialogue with the space of The Health Centre. Imagined energy forms come “Down to Earth” and you are bond to interact as you experience the spaces. The installations play with the dynamics of place and are in zippy dialogue with the apparent limits of sensory perception. In this exhibition, Cosmic Particles reach our atmosphere, and magneto-spheric plasma and solar wind seem to have actually come inside the building. Low relief abstract works explore similar themes using mixed media on another scale and a series of Embroideries entitled The Unfixed World comment directly on the environment as we think we know it.
