The highly anticipated first UK exhibition of Keith Haring’s work has opened at Tate Liverpool. It is vast, covering most aspects of his work and career. This was my first experience seeing so many pieces by this seminal figure from the 1980s,’ in the flesh, so I was curious to learn more about the man.

Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Evening Sale has realised a very respectable £62.3 million / $79.8 million / €70.4 million total.
Jean-Michel Basquiat’s ‘Untitled’ painting from 1982, a monumental canvas that has rarely been seen since it last appeared on the market in May 1984, is the centrepiece of Sotheby’s Contemporary Art sale in New York on the 18 May.
