London once again is gearing up for Art Night this Saturday 7 July from 6 pm to 6 am. Art Night is London’s largest free contemporary arts festival. Each year the festival partners with a leading cultural institution and curator, focusing on a different area of London to explore its distinctive identity, culture and architecture through various forms of art.

Lee Bul transforms Hayward Gallery into a spectacular dream-like landscape featuring monstrous bodies, futuristic cyborgs, glittering mirrored environments and an exquisitely surreal monumental foil Zeppelin.

Hayward Gallery Reopens With Andreas Gursky Retrospective

A retrospective exhibition of photographer Andreas Gursky (born Germany, 1955) is the first show in the newly renovated Hayward Gallery. The exhibition will span the German photographer’s entire career, from his iconic works of the 1980s through to five new pieces created for the occasion.

Andreas Gursky marks the beginning of the Hayward Gallery’s 50th anniversary year and is the first exhibition to take place in the gallery following its two-year refurbishment. For the first time since the Hayward’s original opening, the gallery’s pyramid roof lights will allow natural light into the spaces below.
