A door from the infamous Hotel Chelsea belonging to the room resident ‘Superstar’ actress Edie Sedgwick and artist Andy Warhol shared in 1965, while filming Chelsea Girls, has sold for $52,500.

One hundred works of art, acquired personally by Stanley Bard manager and part owner of New York’s notorious Hotel Chelsea are to go under the hammer at Freeman’s Auctions in Philadelphia, on May 16. Bard died last month age 82.
First it was CBGB’S now the Hotel Chelsea, an underground landmark in Manhattan where Dylan Thomas, William S.
