Art Car Boot Fair Moves To Vauxhall For Most Successful Event Ever

The Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is something to celebrate. Each year a number of A-list artists join emerging unknowns to offer their work at knock down independent prices. This act of generosity allows new collectors who couldn’t normally afford to buy a significant work of art the opportunity to purchase a work at a fraction of the art fair or gallery price.

Jamaican art has never been as experimental as that to be found in – say – Cuba, its neighboring island in the Greater Antilles. Cuban art reached out to the Modernist Movement almost as soon as it began. And Cuba has always had links to what was going on in the mainland nations of Latin America. Art in Jamaica, linked to the UK, remained consistently more conservative.
