Top 10 – Art/Fashion Collaborations

To coincide with London Fashion Week, Artlyst this week takes a look at the best fashion and art collaborations. Some have used artists as their backdrop for fashion shoots such as the collaboration of Cecil Beaton and Jackson Pollock for Vogue in 1951 entitled American Fashion: The New Soft Look. Some designers have chosen artists to create a backdrop for their stores such as Zaha Hadid for Chanel and Jeremy Deller for Louis Vuitton; others have become patrons for major artworks, putting their name to Art Prizes such as the Max Mara prize for women artists or built museums for their collections such as Fondazione Prada in Milan. But here at Artlyst we have chosen the collaborations that have actually put art on fashion items from dresses, to shoes and handbags.
