Artlyst has decided to cross the line and ‘name and shame’ local UK councils and public bodies for commissioning some of the most horrendous misuses of bronze and other materials in history. This is entirely a subjective list of visual misdemeanours which have invaded our parks and civic buildings. Some of the works have been executed by award winning artists such as Anish Kapoor, Damien Hirst and Gillian Wearing, who command six and seven figure sums for their mishaps. It is time to turn the tides on these monstrosities and shout from the rooftops… No more bad art!!!!
