Affordable Art Fair Opens In Los Angeles

The Affordable Art Fair opens in Los Angeles 18 -22 January. The fair showcases original, contemporary artwork priced from $100 to $10,000.  It is fantastic way to expand your collection and knowledge in a comfortable setting. Until this year, the fair has been an international fixture. Now Los Angeles will get to experience the full effect of this unusual art bazaar.

The fair is proof indeed that ‘you don’t need to be a squillionaire to collect and enjoy first-class art’. While the majority of the work on show may be by lesser-known professionals, there are also a significant number of more or less affordable works by serious and established artists.
I like settings like this because they tend to offer so much in a lively, social atmosphere. There is also a rich lineup of programming, which is free with admission. There’ll be something for everyone, including the little ones.

Known as the un-stuffiest of English and international art fairs, the Affordable Art Fair travels around the world showcasing emerging artists and their original works of all media, with prices that begin at $100. The participating galleries are from New York, LA, London, Singapore, Portland and more.

Will Ramsay founded the fair in 1999 in London, and it has since expanded to 15 cities and is still expanding faster than ever. The fair rides off the notion that you don’t have to be an expert or a millionaire to love and appreciate art. Hear Ramsay speak on the fair in the video below.

The fair runs from today until January 22. If you’re in New York, you’ll have to wait until April! Get in the know on the AAF’s website.
