Brazilian Galleries Shine In Record Numbers At Europe’s International Art Fairs

More than eleven Brazilian galleries have chosen to come to London for Frieze week. Many will move on to Paris for next week’s FIAC. This is just the tip of the iceberg with ten in Bogota (Colombia) galleries exhibiting  with the support of the internationalization Project that was made by LATITUDE – Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad.

The project reaches the month of October with a record number of its support. Only in the period that includes the 17th and 28th of October, will be 21 participations of Brazilian galleries in international fairs on two continents. Some, like the gallery Jaqueline Martins and the gallery Berenice Arvani, premiered in London fairs , while Silvia Cintra + Box4 Gallery and Marilia Razuk will for the first time at artBO, in Bogota .

Brazilian participation in the art fair will also Colombian weight. Between 25 to 28 October , the fair artBO in Bogota , is attended ten galleries (A Gentil Carioca , Baró Gallery, Casa Triângulo, Gallery Eduardo Fernandes, Jaqueline Martins Gallery , Gallery Luisa Strina , Marilia Razuk Gallery , Gallery Millan Silvia Cintra + Box 4 and Vermelho Gallery).

Between 17 and 20 October, London receives three international fairs: London Frieze, Frieze Masters and the Moving Image. Participate in them, in all, 11 Brazilian galleries, the largest number of galleries that the project has already led to London since Project inception. There are six Brazilian galleries at Frieze London (A Gentil Carioca, Jaqueline Martins Gallery, Gallery Fortes Vilaca, Gallery Luisa Strina, Mendes DM Wood and Red), four at Frieze Masters (Berenice Arvani Gallery, Luciana Brito Gallery, Gallery Millan and Gallery Nara Roesler) and one at the Moving Image (Gallery Pilar).
