The David Roberts Art Foundation is to increase its ongoing commitment to performance, by opening a dedicated live projects space. The expansion will occupie a 250 sq m converted industrial loft with original wooden rafters within DRAF’s London building.

Since its foundation in 2008, DRAF has championed performance at the centre of its programme, presenting live work by iconic international figures including Phillip Glass, Rodney Graham, Pierre Huyghe, Sarah Lucas, Bruce McLean, Laure Prouvost, Steve Reich and Pipilotti Rist. It has supported emerging artists by commissioning performances by Nina Beier, Keren Cytter, Michael Dean, Eloise Hawser, Lina Lapelyte, Maria Loboda, Eddie Peake, Megan Rooney and Cally Spooner.

The opening evening on Thurs 24 September 2015 includes commissioned performances by artist Alex Baczynski-Jenkins and the UK premiere of choreographer Stina Nyberg’s Splendour, 2014.
