Damien Hirst

Damien Hirst, the co-founded Other Criteria, the commercial leg of his publishing/retailing empire is to close their flagship shop in Bond Street. OC has been located in this up-market area for the last six years. He has asked estate agents Levy to sell the £435,000 lease, as they look for a larger retail space. Other Criteria has said that the group wants to triple the selling space and is looking to stay in the West End. The company has also announced it is to open a branch in SoHo New York this coming spring.

Other Criteria has established itself by producing an array of unique artworks, art publications and limited editions in a variety of media, from a growing range of products. Working directly with a number of established artists, OC strive to create a tangible, everlasting presence with each artist collaborated with. They source artisans, printers and fabricators worldwide to make books, prints and a wide range of desirable items of great originality, including photographs, clothing, sculptural works and jewellery.

Other Criteria will be exhibiting at Art 14 from Friday at London’s Olympia
