Supermodel Kate Moss has opted for a Glastonbury style wedding complete with six marquees and an eight foot parameter fence. The small Gloucestershire village was in lock down mode as Kate went to the alter for the big day with her fiancee Jamie Hince, the guitarist for The Kills. The wedding has been scheduled over three days, beginning with today’s ceremony in the 12th-century church near Moss’s Cotswold country home in Little Faringdon. Guests include, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Tracey Emin, Jude Law, Sadie Frost, Jade Jagger, Anna Wintour, Bryan Ferry and Naomi Campbell. It is thought that Iggy Pop, Beth Ditto,and Shirley Bassey will preform tonight. The food has been catered by the Dorchester’s trendy, China Tang restaurant while cases of Bollinger champagne and Grey Goose vodka have been earmarked for the bar. It is thought that YBA Artist,Tracey Emin has designed the table centerpieces and possibly the China. Emin has a pop up shop, at the moment, at Selfridges which sells china and other kitchen accessories. Hince’s best man was the Kills female singer Alison Mosshart and Moss’s eight-year-old daughter was maid of honour. The vintage lace and rhinestone wedding dress was designed by her controversial friend John Galliano, a brave move considering the designer was recently fired from Dior for making anti-Semitic remarks. Her hair was styled by James Brown, another person who is no stranger to racial slurs. Christian Louboutin has designed a special pair of wedding shoes that include a blue insole titled Kate’s, ‘something blue.’ Vogue’s Mario Testino snapped the official photos thought to be published in the magazine next month. Police have refused to say how much the operation was costing the taxpayer but the bride has stated that they were helping foot the bill. The official line was that the roads had been closed on safety grounds but residents had come to the conclusion it was more do to with an exclusive deal struck with a Vogue for the wedding pictures.
