Ai Weiwei Wins Court Case Against Volkswagen In Denmark

In 2017, SMC a Volkswagen dealership in Copenhagen shot a photo of a new Volkswagen Polo parked in front of an installation by the Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei. The photograph was subsequently used to promote a new model of the Polo car on its website and inhouse magazine.

To mark the 500th anniversary since the death of Leonardo da Vinci, the British Library is to mount an exhibition of the Renaissance master’s notebooks. ‘Leonardo da Vinci: A Mind in Motion’ at the British Library will reveal how he believed motion to be the cause of all life’.

RA Summer Exhibition Returns To Form Under Jock McFadyen

This year the RA Summer Exhibition has returned to form with a talented lineup of artists chosen by an inexhaustible group of jurors. The 251st edition received over 16,000 entries. Around 1200 works, in a range of media, goes on display, next week. The majority of these artworks are offered for sale, allowing visitors to purchase original work by upcoming and established artists.
