There’s a fascinating new book just out. The candid title is ‘Rogues’ Gallery: A History of Art and Its Dealers. The author, Philip Hook, is extremely well qualified to deal with his chosen subject since he has spent many years as an auctioneer, working first for Christie’s, then as a senior director at Sotheby’s, where he is currently a board member.

Shortlisted Projects Unveiled for Lighting London’s Bridges

The six shortlisted proposals by international teams, representing seventy-three artists, architects, designers, planners and engineers from Asia, Europe, North America and South America will be unveiled on Wednesday 9 November in the Illuminated River Exhibition, a free exhibition running for three weeks at the Royal Festival Hall (RFH) until Tuesday 29 November.
