Mark Woods ‘The unchanging nature of the Fetish object’



The Image is from an Installation of an automaton exhibited at the Venice Biennale. The sculpture is housed inside a Wooden’ Shipping Crate’.

This Artwork was exhibited in Venice 2013, at the Maggazini del Sale Venice.
All the objects featured inside are unique fabricated pieces, except for the mirrors turntables & the ‘Raw’ Phenolic plastic Rods, from which most of the Objects are Carved.
This Plastic was developed to replace Ivory in Snooker balls.


Born 1961 in Carshalton Surrey, Lives & works in London & the Lake District.
