This series of events brings together photographer Othello De’Souza-Hartley and curator and vintage fashion collector Stefanie Braun for a weeklong celebration of individuality and style at the Underground Gallery in Charing Cross, London (Wednesday 15 – Saturday 18 February 2012).Since 2003, photographer Othello De’Souza-Hartley has been capturing people with unique clothing styles in front of his signature red backdrop. He will be in residence at the Underground Gallery on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 February to photograph passers-by with an individual approach to dressing as part of his ongoing Stylees project.
On Friday 17 and Saturday 18 February, Stefanie Braun will take over the Underground Gallery with a selection of vintage fashion pieces for sale from her eclectic collection spanning the 1930s – 1980s. In addition you’ll get the chance to be a model for a day, photographing yourself in your favorite vintage piece which will subsequently be featured on Fraubraun’s online shop – www.fraubraun.com.
The event A Way of Dressing will be framed by two evening talks discussing how we play with our identities through fashion, photography and styling. To find out more on the events or to book tickets please visit www.undergroundgallery.co.uk.
