Anna Minton: After Ground Control

Anna Minton will present new ideas on alternatives to the growing privatisation and control of cities as originally investigated in her critically-acclaimed book Ground Control: Fear and happiness in the 21st century city (published in 2012).  Minton is currently working on a follow-up publication and the evening will be an opportunity to share her thinking. Her essay ‘Common Good(s) — Redefining the public interest and the common good’ was commissioned and published last year as part of the How to work together Think tank; this presentation accompanies that piece.

Anna Minton is a writer, journalist and Visiting Professor at the University of East London. She is currently the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Fellow in the Built Environment.
