For our summer exhibition, New Art Projects is delighted to present an amazing selection from a private London collection. Assembled between 1995 – 2012 an international collector and traveller has focussed on a series of challenging works gathered from both established and emerging artists with a fun, controversial and discerning eye.
Taking an iconic and unique work by Gilbert and George work from the Elemental Series as its starting point, the collection encompasses the YBA movement with pieces by Damien Hirst, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Sarah Lucas and Mark Quinn, and the street art movement including unique works by D-Face and Shepard Fairey as well as Iconic prints by Banksy,
Dolk, Kaws, K-guy, Faile and others.
The collection and subsequent exhibition is united by some strong and
reoccurring themes around the body, the brevity of life, medicine, sexuality and a resounding love of pop! However a sensitive and reflective element is also present represented by unique pieces by Fiona Rae, Seb Patane and Marilene Oliver.
