Hanmi Gallery at ART15, Stand EM11

Hanmi Gallery is pleased to present Myriad: a group exhibition showcasing emerging contemporary artists who employ both new media and video installations within their practices. The exhibition features Korean-born sound-installation artist Sangjin Kim and London based art collective Troika.

Sangjin Kim’s work questions the absoluteness of power and authority that relies upon written language and technology. Kim argues that the displacement of the human element is necessary in order to re-appropriate the act of meditation to reveal the infinite process of cognition. Troika advocate a cross-disciplinary and experimental approach to art, with a particular focus on perception and spatial experience. They aim to create connections between concepts that are often considered complete juxtapositions of one another in order to shed light on their infinite possibilities; this challenges the spectator on both a temporal and visual basis.
