Gallery Director Ian Rosenfeld will lead a talk on rosenfeld porcini’s current themed exhibition ‘The Birth of Cinema… And Beyond’ which features mixed-media works by contemporary and Old Master artists. The Director will discuss the inspiration, influences and vision behind the show and will explore the works and concept in the gallery on Thursday 12 September at 7pm.
Ian Rosenfeld has had one man shows at the National Theatre, the Barbican Centre, the Pinacoteca in Bologna, the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara and the French Cultural Institute in Florence, amongst others. Two of Rosenfeld’s films have premiered at the Venice Film Festival, Echoes of Time in 1993 and Doors of Memory in 1998. Two volumes of his work have also been published,Bologna: Time, Space and Photography (Nuova Alpha) and Ferrara: Echoes of Silence (Alchima Art Publishing). Alongside partner Dario Porcini (Galleria Napoli Nobilissima), Ian Rosenfeld in 2011 launched rosenfeld porcini gallery with the commitment of showing contemporary artists from around the world.
