This Sunday, artist Sarah Tripp presents a new performance made during the inaugural Radio Writing residency at Camden Arts Centre. Tripp’s work centres on different approaches to narrative and storytelling; working across film, performance and printed words, her practice is rooted in observation and experience.
The work has been commissioned for hospital radio and features a sequence of chimes – short audio segments comprised of percussive sound and spoken word – to be played hourly alongside a series of short films and BSL signing. These chimes, broadcast on City Beats hospital radio over a course of a day, will act as temporal markers, reflecting the time and atmosphere of the hour in which they appear.
The Radio Writing residency has been held in collaboration with UCLH Arts and City Beats Radio.
