Sony World Photography Awards & Martin Parr – 2017 Exhibition

The Sony World Photography Awards & Martin Parr – 2017 Exhibition features rich and fascinating photographic stories from key figures and emerging talent of the photography scene today. Celebrating 10 years of the awards exhibition, this year’s edition includes a special exhibition of rarely seen work by British photographer Martin Parr, recipient of the awards’ Outstanding Contribution to Photography prize.

The exhibition pays tribute to Martin Parr with three rooms dedicated to his life and work. There will be a hand-picked selection of rarely seen black and white images from his early career, alongside some of the artist’s most talked about work, books and films and original exhibition posters.

As well as work by Martin Parr, the exhibition presents a unique selection of the winning, shortlisted and commended work from the World Photography Organisation’s annual photography competition. With many of the works being shown in the UK for the first time, it’s a chance to sample the latest photographic trends from around the world in one place.
