A debate about large-scale redevelopment plans set to change the face of East London, chaired by Paul Finch, Programme Director, World Architecture Festival.
An open discussion will follow presentations by leading regeneration experts, including Eric Reynolds, Trinity Buoy Wharf, the man once described as having ‘virtually invented regeneration’; Phil Wade, from First Base, whose projects include the regeneration of Silvertown Quays; Daniel Hill, Head of the ThamesmeadStrategy at Peabody; Megan Piper, Founder of The Line sculpture walk, due to open in East London, in 2015; and, Murray Woodburn, Principle Transport Planner at the London Borough of Newham. Plus, Jason Syret from Allies & Morrison who is leading on masterplans for Wood Wharf and the Leamouth South areas; Mike Davies of Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners, the designer of the Millennium Dome; and, Eric Sorensen, the ex-Chief Executive of London Docklands Development Corporation.
