Summer is here and once again it is time for art in the open air. For the eighth year running we will be transforming our sleepy tree lined avenue into a bussling art fair; over a hundred artists showing over a thousand pieces of work. Works exhibited will include painting, mixed-media, print making and photograph. Prices range from under £50 to over £1,000 making it truly affordable for all art lovers. Entrance is free, and for a great family day out you could also visit the Lambeth Country Show in nearby Brockwell Park. Also, don’t forget to visit our tasty food stalls serving a mouth watering selection of Jamaican, Portuguese and Mexican goodies. Urban Art 2009 is a unique London event not be missed. Not only is it the perfect setting to view new and original artworks, it is also a great way to meet the artists face to face, plus the bonus of raising money for a very worthy cause. So make a note in your diary and set a date to experience art in the open air… it’s what Summer days were made for.
